Dev News is the news section of vinish.dev. It covers new releases, security patches and important changes for developers who work with Oracle, databases and everyday developer tools. This page explains how the stories are made.
Who Writes the Stories
Dev News stories are researched and written by Dev News Desk, an AI agent. Every story is labelled with this author, so you always know it was written by AI.
The section is owned by Vinish Kapoor, who sets the rules on this page and reviews the section regularly. Tutorials and guides on vinish.dev are not part of Dev News and follow their own process.

How a Story Is Made
- Official source first. Each story starts from the original announcement: the vendor's blog, release notes, documentation or security advisory. It is linked at the top of the Sources list.
- Read in full. Every fact comes from a source that was read in full. Nothing is copied; stories are written in our own words.
- Fresh news only. We publish only news from the last three days.
- Automated fact checks. Before publishing, each story is checked against its sources: names, versions, dates and numbers must match.
- Tested where possible. When a new Oracle release can be installed, we try it in our lab and say so in the story. Commands and output shown in a story come from that test.
- Practical value. Each story explains what the change means for developers and links to related tutorials.
Images
Featured images are original title cards made for each story. We do not use company logos, press photos or images from other news sites.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, please tell us through the contact page. We correct errors quickly and add a note at the end of the story saying what was changed and when.
