How to Play SugarBlast

🎮 Controls

On desktop, click a candy to select it, then click an adjacent candy to swap. On touch screens, tap a candy then tap a neighbour. Use the ⛶ Full Screen button for a bigger board, and the 🗺️ Map button to jump back to the level map at any time.

🍬 Matching Mechanics

Swap two adjacent candies to line up three or more of the same type in a row or column. Matched candies pop and new ones fall from the top, which can trigger cascades — automatic chain reactions that multiply your score with every link in the combo.

✨ Special Candies

• Match 4 in a line → Striped Candy: clears an entire row or column.
• Match an L or T shape → Wrapped Candy: blasts a 3×3 area, twice.
• Match 5 in a line → Color Bomb: removes every candy of one colour.
• Swap two specials together for an even bigger board-clearing explosion!

🎯 Objectives & Scoring

• Reach the level's Goal score before you run out of moves.
• Each candy scores 20 × your combo multiplier — longer cascades pay off big.
• Clearing jelly tiles (pink squares) adds +30 each, plus a +500 bonus for clearing them all.
• Finish with moves to spare for a +30 per leftover move bonus.
• Score above the goal to earn up to 3 stars ⭐ per level.

🗺️ Level Progression

Beat a level to unlock the next on the candy world map. The 20 hand-tuned levels grow steadily harder — bigger goals, fewer moves, and tougher jelly layouts — and the candy theme changes as you advance through Classic, Fruit Fizz and Sweet Royale worlds. Your progress, stars and current board are saved automatically.

Gameplay & Match-3 Mechanics

Special Candies & Power-Ups

Bigger matches forge powerful special candies — Striped Candies clear whole rows or columns, Wrapped Candies detonate in a 3×3 blast, and Color Bombs wipe out an entire colour. Combine specials for screen-filling explosions and massive point swings.

Level Challenges & Progression

Journey through 20 increasingly difficult levels featuring jelly tiles, double-layer obstacles and rising score goals. A smooth difficulty curve keeps early levels beginner-friendly while later stages demand clever planning and skilled use of special candies. Earn up to three stars per level and unlock new candy themes as you progress.

Replay Value

Chase a perfect three-star rating on every level, beat your high scores, and master combo strategies. With randomised boards, escalating challenges and a rewarding star system, there's always a reason to come back for one more sweet round.
